Ok, I’m going to be honest with you… “Retirement” doesn’t sit well with me. I’m bored batless and need to do something to engage my brain and pass on my skills. Frankly, I can’t surf, I look a little silly with long hair and I go more red than tan in the sun, so the beach bum lifestyle I have carved out for myself, whilst it sounds idilic, doesn’t really work either.
Even if I wanted to (and trust me I do not!), go back into the business that made me most of my money – financial services, I have iron clad non-competes that keep me out of the industry for years to come. Anyway that industry nearly destroyed my soul and cost me a good chunk of my reputation. I never want to get anywhere near the bloodsuckers that pervade it ever again. Ever!
